La biblioteca de la universidad americana de Duke acaba de hacer pública en internet la entera colección de fotografías de Sidney D. Gamble (1890-1968), un sociólogo, reformador religioso, notable fotógrafo y humanista cristiano que dedicó buena parte de su vida al estudio de la sociedad china de principios del siglo pasado.
Son aproximadamente 5.000 fotografías, la mayoría de ellas tomadas en China entre 1908 y 1932 (también las hay de Japón, Hawai, Rusia y San Francisco) que constituyen un legado bien digno de conocerse.
